As a general rule, you can reduce the size of an image file without losing quality, but you can only increase an image file by 20% before you start to lose quality. Please note however that this is a “General” rule, and depends on the image file itself, the nature of the subject, and what you intend to use the image file for.

Once you purchase an image from the weshootstock.com website, you will be prompted to save a compressed file to your hard drive. This compressed file will contain the image that you purchased.

Please note that to ensure delivery across a range of bandwidths, all our files are compressed. This means that an A4/24mb file will not take up 24mb on your desktop due to it’s compressed nature.
